Collection: Replicas of Historical Iznik Tiles and Ceramics
The Replicas of Historical Iznik Tiles and Ceramics collection brings together more than 70 replicas, made in the İznik Mavi Çini workshop, of Iznik tiles and ceramics held in museums, private collections and historic buildings. It includes replicas of works in the British Museum, the Victoria and Albert Museum, the Louvre, the Ashmolean, the Gulbenkian and the Benaki Museum, as well as tiles from the Rüstem Pasha Mosque, Yeni Cami, the Selimiye Mosque, Topkapı Palace and the Eyüp Sultan Tomb. Each pattern is redrawn by hand from the original work, and each piece is made at the same size as the original, with a quartz-based fritware body and underglaze hand painting. Every piece ships with a certificate of authenticity in a velvet box.
